Top Ten Tuesday

Today I'm participating in Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books I'm Excited To Read in 2012

Series or Sequels that come out in 2012:

Bloodrose (Nightshade, #3)1. Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer.  I have to know who Calla will choose or if she will choose either of them.  I have been avoiding reviews of this one because I'm still holding out hope she chose Ren!

2. Insurgent by Veronica Roth.  I loved Divergent and I'm excited to see where the story will go.  Plus who doesn’t want to read more about Four!

3. Hallowed by Cynthia Hand.  This ending left me a little breathless.  I want to make sure Tucker and Clara stay together and I want to figure out what is up with Clara's brother...he's trouble!

4. Fever by Lauren DeStefano.  Rhine and Gabriel are sure to have some action and adventure on their runaway journey.  I want to see how their story plays out.

Books that were released before 2012 that I haven't go to yet:

Cascade (River of Time, #2)5 and 6. Cascade and Torment by Lisa Bergren.  About a week ago I purchased these ebooks because they were on sale for a really good deal and I can't wait to finish the story.  There is this Lord Greco that I've read so much about and I'm dying to meet.

7. Die for Me by Amy Plum.  I've had this book for a while and I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet.  It sounds fantastic and I love the girl's dress on the cover.

8. Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck.  One of the young girls in my YA bookclub recommended this book to me.  She just loves the series so I wanted to read them so she would have someone to talk to about them, since none of her friends are big readers.

9. A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young.  This book was featured in a lot of people’s best of 2011 lists and since I have it I thought I should finally get around to reading it.

Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles, #1)10. Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta.  You all know I have some mad love for Melina Marchetta so this series is a must read for me.  I am a little nervous because part of the reason I love her is that her contemporary characters are so raw and beautiful that I hope they translate over into this fantasy realm as well.

  1. I need to read so many of the books on your list, I've read Wither so I'm pumped for Fever and I've also read A Need So Beautiful, other than that I really need to get to the rest of these :)

  5. I can't believe I haven't read Finnikin of the Rock. I'm nervous about trying MM on fantasy. Fantasy is not my favorite genre, but since I love MM, I'm gonna try it...someday.

My list for 2012 is very similar. :)
